Cabbage rolls filled with turkey bacon and chicken ham are a delicious and nutritious meal option.

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, diced
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the cabbage head in salted water for about 5 minutes or until leaves are pliable.
  3. In a sauté pan, cook diced turkey bacon until crispy, then add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, cooked rice, parsley, salt, pepper, and the turkey bacon mixture.
  5. Take a cabbage leaf and fill it with the chicken mixture, rolling it tightly and tucking in the sides.
  6. Place the rolls in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
