A delicious twist on the classic baked macaroni and cheese featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 4 ounces chicken ham
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a saucepan, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then chop.
  4. In the same saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually stir in milk, cooking until thickened.
  6. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce.
  7. Mix in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese until melted.
  8. Combine macaroni, chopped bacon, chicken ham, and cheese sauce; mix well.
  9. Spread into a baking dish, top with remaining cheese, and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

  • For a crunchier topping, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Feel free to use your favorite cheeses or add breadcrumbs for extra texture.
