  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 pound beef stew meat
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the beef stew meat.
  3. In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients including the crumbled turkey bacon.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender.
