A delicious and easy family meal made in a slow cooker, featuring tender chicken in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce.

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the chicken is tender.
  5. Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the sauce.
  6. Serve over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, remove some liquid and reduce it on the stove.
  • Can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts if desired.
