Slow-cooked pork carnitas are the perfect filling for juicy beef tacos that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture over the pork.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
  4. Pour orange juice and lime juice over the top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.
  6. Shred the pork and return to slow cooker to soak up the juices before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add jalapeños to the slow cooker.
  • Serve with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.
