A delicious and easy recipe for bourbon chicken made in a crock pot, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until chicken is tender.
  5. Remove the chicken and place on a plate.
  6. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then add to the sauce in the crock pot.
  7. Stir and cook on high for 15 minutes, until sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the pot and coat with the sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with rice for a complete meal.
  • Can use chicken breasts if preferred.
